Kitties need exercise too! Indoor cats can become sedentary which many seem quite happy with. It's not as easy as getting out a leash and heading out the door. Cats are not the enthusiastic athletes that dogs are. It's easy for indoor cats to become overweight or obese. Many eat at their leisure and spend the rest of the day gazing out the window from a comfortable perch.
There are many ways to exercise your kitties. There are easy and cheap options and even cat wheels, similar to a hamster wheel. There are toys you can buy or you can be creative and make something yourself. For the crafty kitty owner, there are so many things to try. You can tie shoe laces or feathers to sticks or hang something for your cat to knock around from a cat tree or door knob.
Pet stores are filled with things to keep kitties entertained. You can throw around a catnip toy for Fluffy to chase, or dangle a wand covered in feathers or bells for your cat to paw at, chase and bat around.
If you're feeling ambitious, try the kitty wheel. Don't want to spend a lot of money? My cats enjoy hiding in a box or paper shopping bag and waiting for one of their dog or cat siblings to walk by and jump out at POW! Use your imagination and bond with your kitties.
Be sure to throw away any small pieces of a toy that may fall off. Kitties are known to carry and hide small objects and swallowing a foreign object can be dangerous and result in a vet visit.
Don't let the Paw Joggers name confuse you! We don't jog with the kitties. Wouldn't that be funny? We do love to spoil your cats with lots of playtime and ear scratches!
